Stauff Test Couplings
Stauff test coupling is a product type that has been planned in advance for suitable positions of hydraulic system during the design phrase of a machine. Alternatively, it would be added at a later stage in the course of retrofitting or upgrading.
They allow machine fabricator and maintenance personnel to easily and safely connect analogue, digital measuring and display devices for short term testing or continuous monitoring of system pressure and other factors. They are allowed for venting of the system as well as collecting representative fluid sample if it is required. Example, it is applied to analyse the degree of contamination of the fluid. |

What are Stauff Test Coupling
1. What is Stauff test coupling used for?
Test coupling connection does not require any tools to connect the coupling to the system. It can be carried out during operation under full system pressure which is up to 9135 psi or 630 bar. The working pressure is subjected to the type of coupling. It is used to monitor and control pressure. The connection thread is made according to ISO 15171-2 standard. It is applicable for high and low pressure systems.

The other competitive influence of using Stauff test coupling is the vibration protection feature which prevents self-loosening of the protective metal or plastic cap caused by vibrations in the system.

2. What is Stauff test coupling made of?
Stauff Test coupling body is made of carbon steel and stainless steel SS316. The ball material is stainless steel. The carbon steel zinc nickel surface coating provides a reliable surface protection to it. There are two type of material grades available for stainless steel.

The Stauff test coupling is suitable for hydraulic oils and other mineral oil base fluids. User may consider compatibility of seal type material before installation. The complete Stauff test coupling is available with a hexagonal protection cap made of steel or plastic material.
